As Many in the AV know - a simple solution used in to size digital displays is to spec product based on 4/6/8 times the height of the display for maximum distance from the display to the participants is used. However in many cases, when using this methodology updated research has shown that the chosen display will be far too small for a quality experience for the participants in the room. This is the primary flaw with the 4/6/8, while it defines an absolute maximum, it does not define an optimal experience.
